SAP launches Africa Code Week

German software company SAP has launched Africa Code Week in Cape Town, aimed at introducing 1.5 million African youth to digital skills this year. The initiative was first introduced in 2015 and has engaged more than 4 million youth across 37 countries in Africa so far.

The Africa Code Week was launched on the eve of this year’s World Economic Forum on Africa that addressed the issue of education and skills development to meet the challenges of the digital age.
