Major funding for open education resources from US Department of Education

The US Department of Education has announced a grant of US$2.5 million for the Consortium of Open Active Pathways, a onsortium consisting of Arizona State University, Maricopa Community Colleges in Phoenix, Miami Dade College, and Ivy Tech Community College. The aim is to increase access to college-level educational materials, which will be offered as open education resources (OER). OERs are freely available and can be downloaded, shared, and edited.
